What I would like to offer as a collaborator…
I am a cardiovascular epidemiologist and my research has focused on health equity and community-academic team science. I specialize in designing and conducting studies of comparative effectiveness, dissemination and implementation of health care interventions. My studies embed basic science questions and use a combination of big data, assessments of social determinants of health status, clinical phenotypes, health services utilization, and laboratory measures.
What I am looking for from a collaborator…
In conducting research with diverse clinicians and patient populations, I have developed a national network of practice-based research networks designed to accelerate and disseminate research findings in order to increase therapeutic gains. I have engaged practicing clinicians in research by developing a national distance learning network. My work uses technologies such as telemedicine, health information systems, and health data networks. I have studied the uptake of early detection tests for common cancers, use of cardiovascular diagnostic technologies and group behavioral interventions, and the integration of mental and behavioral services into primary care. I am President/CEO of Clinical Directors Network (CDN), and hold an adjunct professor of epidemiology and health services research at Weill Cornell Medicine, at The Rockefeller University Center for Clinical and Translational Science, and am a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
