What I would like to offer as a collaborator…

My research interests lie in developing and evaluating programs that utilize culturally sensitive evidence-based psychological practices (such as cognitive behavioral therapy or motivational interviewing) to reduce health disparities in acute care settings.

What I am looking for from a collaborator…

I have experience and education as both a research assistant and clinician applying cognitive behavioral therapy to at-risk or underserved populations. At Weill Cornell my work focuses on investigating health disparities at the end of life as well as serving on a pilot trial of a novel psychological intervention for caregivers in the ICU setting. My long term goals are admission to medical school and a specialization in emergency medicine. I hope to develop interventions that improve care for individuals with comorbid psychiatric and physical disease with a specific interest in serving the undomiciled. I believe I would be an asset to the Cornell Center for Health Equity through my knowledge and experience in facilitating behavioral health research as well as my clinical background in psychology. As a member I would hope to gain further education in the field exposure to new research and become part of a community of researchers working towards a goal of better healthcare for all.
