Health Equity/Research Interest

As the data analyst at the Tompkin’s County District Attorney’s Office, I have access to prosecution data in the county and I’m skilled at analyzing data. In addition, I worked as a Firefighter/EMT for many years with both Ithaca Fire Department and Varna Volunteer Fire Company, so I have experience with the emergency medical system as a first responder.

Expertise/Goals

We’re interested in looking at health equity in the criminal justice system in Tompkins County.

In addition, we are looking for collaborators with experience in Tompkins County with the following topics: homelessness; socioeconomic trends; and background of people that end up in the criminal justice system, such as income, financial resources, people’s interactions with the justice system, how many parents were present in their lives, if they are/were on public assistance, and if they were in the foster care system.
