Health Equity/Research Interest

As an Asian-American from Alabama, I can offer a unique perspective from my observations viewing health disparities whilst volunteering in impoverished neighborhoods and food deserts. Furthermore, I can share my experiences shadowing a family medicine physician, seeing numerous patient appointments within family-like communities, and a general surgeon, viewing multiple procedures from hiatal hernias to thyroidectomies.

Expertise/Goals

From other collaborators, I strive to search for varying perspectives and opinions on health equity and how different regions address situations that arise from negligence and medical illiteracy. Additionally, I plan to gain more knowledge about health ethics from medical professionals and expand upon concepts with peers.
