Health Equity/Research Interest
As a clinician in Internal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine I care for a wide range of patients and have experience with how disparities in health care access and health literacy negatively impact health outcomes. I mentor medical students and residents on how to care for patients of different backgrounds and role model one-tier medical care for a diverse NYC patient population.
Expertise/Goals
I hope to foster collaborations in both education and research across the NYC and Ithaca campuses particularly through medical education for medical students and residents who rotate through electives and courses on both campuses. I am actively involved in recruitment and curriculum development for the newly ACGME – accredited Internal Medicine Residency Training Program based at Cayuga Medical Center and hope that a new community of young physicians training in this program will facilitate many of the Center’s activities through community outreach and research projects.
