Health Equity/Research Interest
I would like to offer my background in sexual and reproductive health education; feminist, gender, and sexuality studies; critical race theory and disability justice; and sociology. I am deeply invested in topics that relate to marginalized populations, which is informed by my lived experience as a queer-identifying, working class immigrant from Myanmar. I can also contribute my experiences with qualitative methods, especially conducting interviews.
Expertise/Goals
Although I am and will continue to be taking courses in statistics and mixed methods, I am looking for collaborators who have a strong methodological background and are willing to train and mentor me in quantitative research. I am also looking for collaborators who are trained in policy research and analysis, as I would love to learn how to translate my research findings to policy proposals.
