CCHEq Members Contribute to Health Equity Position Statements

Christopher Gonzalez co-authored “Incorporating Anti-racist Principles Throughout the Research Lifecycle: A Position Statement from the Society of General Internal Medicine” in the May 14, 2024 issue of the Journal of General Internal Medicine. The statement presents a conceptual framework of multi-level systemic changes and strategies for individual researchers, institutions and national organizations, emphasizing collective responsibility to address systemic racsism in research.

Madeline Sterling co-authored “Implementation Science to Achieve Equity in Heart Failure Care: A Scientific Statement from the American Heart Association” in the May 7, 2024 issue of Circulation. The statement provides guidance for developing and evaluating studies that intentionally address medical and nonpharmacological heart failure therapy disparities using implementation science.
