What I would like to offer as a collaborator…
As a collaborator, I bring a powerful combination of critical analysis and practical experience in advancing health equity. My PhD in Cultural Studies equips me to understand how power structures and cultural systems shape health disparities, while my work as Program Manager for Community Health and Engagement has honed my ability to translate these insights into actionable, community-centered programs. I excel at building authentic partnerships that bridge academic, clinical, and community contexts, ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts move beyond performative gestures toward meaningful systemic change. My approach centers marginalized voices, builds trust through culturally responsive practices, and maintains a commitment to equity in both process and outcomes, positioning me to contribute meaningfully to collaborative work that addresses the root causes of health inequities.
What I am looking for from a collaborator…
I value collaborators who understand that meaningful health equity work requires both critical analysis of systemic barriers and practical, culturally responsive approaches that honor lived experience and community knowledge. I’m looking for partnerships that embrace authentic dialogue across different contexts—academic, clinical, and community—and that are willing to interrogate power dynamics within our own institutions and practices.
