We are a member-driven organization that seeks to understand and address health disparities, and the many root causes, by: * Generating and sharing new knowledge, * Training outstanding investigators, with an emphasis on people from underrepresented groups, * Educating students, trainees, faculty, and communities, * Engaging with diverse communities in this work, and * Applying knowledge to maximize its impact on practice and policy. CCHEq's priority is to develop and support community-university collaborative partnerships that can respond directly to community priorities, including focusing on 1) the multiple vulnerabilities to health disparities, and 2) stigmatized conditions. To achieve our mission, we need interdisciplinary and representative member-collaborators from communities and institutions across New York State. If you have in interest in advancing health equity, please become a member. Some of the information collected here will be used to populate the CCHEq Member Directory.
