Health Equity/Research Interest
I aspire to become a public health professional in the areas of cardiovascular disease prevention, health systems strengthening, health disparities, economic development, and patient-centered care.
My research interests include health care quality measurement and improvement; health policy analysis; the development and assessment of materials and public health interventions. Moreover, my future work will focus on sustainable health prevention programs for improving population health in the United States and developing countries. I conducted global public health work in Haiti, India, and Colombia. I hope to become an authority in the academic and federal government community on the use of qualitative and mixed methods research in health services and policy research.
I hope to collaborate with faculty members on topics that are of great interest to me. As a future PhD student, being involved in the center and its mission will greatly advance my personal development as a scholar.
