Health Equity/Research Interest
I am interested in addressing social determinants of health as they relate to nutrition. I am interested in this and have worked in this area within the context of both an urban and rural setting. I am most interested in the issue of time constraints and role overload experienced by low resource populations.
Expertise/Goals
My expertise is in the influence of social factors on nutrition and health and the relationship between nutrition and health. In my current position I work with many community organizations and have established connections in the rural communities upstate. My goal in joining the center is to network and to establish collaborations and contribute to achieving health equity.
