Health Equity/Research Interest

As a PhD student specializing in refugee and immigrant health education, health literacy, and healthcare accessibility, I bring both personal and academic expertise to the table. As a former refugee, I deeply understand the unique challenges these populations face, particularly those with limited English proficiency. Additionally, with my background as a language lecturer and curriculum developer, I aim to apply my skills in language education and curriculum design to improve health education and healthcare access for refugees and immigrants in Ithaca and beyond.

Expertise/Goals

I am seeking collaborators who share a passion for advancing health equity, especially for refugees and immigrants facing language barriers. I am particularly interested in working with those focused on developing and implementing effective health literacy programs, as well as improving access to culturally competent care for linguistically diverse communities.
