Health Equity/Research Interest
My current research interests center around gender and disability, and the impacts these have on accessibility/quality of care and individuals’ likelihood to pursue it.
I have demonstrated experience working within communities marginalized by gender and occupation in northern India towards promoting access to and utilization of healthcare resources. I am also passionate about youth empowerment and leadership and have worked for three years promoting leadership and self-empowerment among youth populations in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA).
Expertise/Goals
Looking to collaborate with a PI currently performing research in healthcare sociology, population health/demography, or community health interventions for women, non-binary people and girls. My personal current foci are period poverty, topics surrounding education, & disparities in healthcare for women, disabled people, and LGBTQIA+ populations.
