Health Equity/Research Interest

My multi-faceted research interests pointedly overlap the fields of global public health, health equity, health practice and the sociology of healing. I am not only interested in the interconnectedness of health practices and the policy that governs them, but also in bio-sovereignty. I am interested in the Cornell Center for Health Equity because it aligns with my research interests and may be a resource for me as I refine my disciplinary interests.

Expertise/Goals

When I graduate from Cornell University, I plan to pursue a PhD in Health Policy to learn more about how political structures shape health. I hope to someday apply my studies to my own research to impact public policy. I hope my experience in the center will connect me to like-minded individuals as well as those who are successful in the field I intend on entering. I also look forward to the educational resources provided on this site as something to supplement my research and educational studies.
