What I would like to offer as a collaborator…
My expertise is on the health disparity in the East Harlem community, I am working with them for more than 17 years. Now. I am focus in the older adult population. But, I have been work with all diverse population. Share information from DOH with my clients in both languages; Spanish and English. How navigate in the health care system and use all the resources in the area. Provide help when they need it.
What I am looking for from a collaborator…
Share all the educative information that you may have about research and chronic diseases in this particular population. That can happen if you come to the community with workshops, flyers, visual information that is promoting new options for these illness, new advance in research such as type 2 diabetes, High blood pressure, or asthma that is prevalent in this community.
