Health Equity/Research Interest
I am currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. My current research focuses on: 1) the development of new therapies for plasma cell disorders, such as multiple myeloma; 2) harnessing genomic and epigenomic tools to improve the diagnosis, prediction of response and prognosis of plasma cell disorders; and 3) reducing outcome disparities in patients with hematologic malignancies by addressing barriers to specialized hematologic care access and increasing the representation of ethnic and racial minority groups in clinical trials.
Expertise/Goals
As a hematologist and medical oncologist, I provide specialized hematologic care for patients with plasma cell disorders. I am interested in collaborating with other researchers interested in health equity with the goal of reducing outcome disparities in patients with hematologic malignancies.
