Health Equity/Research Interest
I am a nephrologist and health services researcher studying health policy and care delivery in kidney disease. My research uses quasi-experimental study designs to evaluate the impact of policies and interventions on the quality, utilization, and equity of kidney care. I also assess the relationship between social risk factors and health system quality performance. My work informs the development of payment models and quality measures in chronic diseases.
Expertise/Goals
My research has demonstrated quality of care gaps across the spectrum of kidney care – spanning disease awareness, optimal medical management, and the transition to kidney replacement therapy. I hope to collaborate with researchers and clinicians studying chronic disease management, health policy, and implementation science.
