Health Equity/Research Interest
Dr. Lynda Nwabuobi is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology and Assistant Attending Neurologist at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, specializing in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders. Dr. Nwabuobi offers compassionate and personalized care in Movement Disorders including Parkinson’s Disease and parkinsonism, essential tremor, Huntington’s disease, dystonia, cervical dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, tics and Tourette’s syndrome, ataxia, gait disorder, chorea, restless leg syndrome, and myoclonus. Dr. Nwabuobi is interested in studying racial disparities in the care of Parkinson’s disease and other neurological illnesses, with the goal of creating initiatives to close the gap. Dr. Nwabuobi focuses on community engagement and outreach work in underserved populations.
Expertise/Goals
My experience in health equity research and community engagement/outreach work will add to the vast knowledge in this group and allow for interdisciplinary collaborations. I also look forward to gaining and giving mentorship.
