Health Equity/Research Interest

My primary research interest is in the social determinants of health and how they disproportionately impact vulnerable communities locally and abroad.

Expertise/Goals

My experience ranges from basic to clinical research at the undergraduate, graduate, and medical school level. During my MS in Global Health, my research focused on the social determinants of health for West Bank Palestinians and consisted of a literature review of this topic in the context of settlement and occupation. At the medical school level my research thus far has focused on alcohol-related liver disease and my goal is to explore how social determinants can be prioritized to a greater extent in clinical decision-making.
