Health Equity/Research Interest
My laboratory has several areas of research ranging from advancing point-of-care medical diagnostics that can operate in rural/remote areas to designing and testing environmentally and economically sustainable approaches to improve food security and alleviate poverty.
Expertise/Goals
I am the Director of Cornell’s new Master of Public Health Program which is founded on core principles of sustainability equity and engagement. Our program is a natural partner for the Center both in terms of integrating students into research and service projects and in engaging a wide variety of community partners in efforts that will directly equitably and sustainably promote health and well-being. I would be happy to share my network of contacts here across the Ithaca campus and hope to promote greater synergies with the faculty staff and students at Weill.
