I would like to offer opportunities to engage with MPA students to conduct research and policy projects driven by community needs, and can offer experience based on past research on improving health care access and quality for women and children age 0-5 in Central America, South America, and Mexico; best practices for providing mental health services for displaced persons; using telemedicine to expand access to health care in rural areas in the US and Central America; international models for training health care workers in rural areas; using research to inform policy.
