Health Equity/Research Interest
I am passionate about bridging barriers in the care of Black and Latino patients, with a focus on language access and immigration issues in these communities. I am interested in pursuing a career in neurosurgery. I believe that health equity is not a stand-alone area of academic interest, and it is my hope to work at the intersection of these issues within the surgical sphere.
Expertise/Goals
My goal as a medical student and as a future physician is to be an advocate for my patients above all else. I have professional experience as a hospital interpreter, patient advocate, researcher, and medical assistant to contribute to the efforts of the Center for Health Equity. I aspire to be a lifelong student of my community, its history, and its future.
