Health Equity/Research Interest
I currently work with a number of faculty, students and community members to facilitate community engagement alongside appropriate research modalities while implementing programs intended to enhance community well-being. I am interested in applying different lenses: psychodynamic, trauma-responsive, socio-ecological, and general social work practices to address community health challenges in a just and sustainable manner.
Expertise/Goals
Having recently completed a PhD at Cornell on community, race and the construction of identity, I am currently completing NYS licensure as a social worker. I have worked on a number of health-related projects in Tompkins County over the past three years and am excited to have the opportunity to foster synergies at the intersections of Cornell and the wider community. Through membership of the Center I hope to contribute to integrating theory and effective intervention design/implementation while supporting reciprocally informing relationships between faculty and community members.
