Health Equity/Research Interest

I am a practicing Rheumatologist and health service researcher. My research focus is on factors that influence outcomes particularly cardiovascular (CV) disease among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). My goals include developing testing and implementing behavioral patient-centered interventions to reduce cardiovascular risk in RA patients and address issues of health equity.

Expertise/Goals

My expertise and goals will contribute to the CCHeq in terms of networking and collaborations that I have with other institutions such as the Hospital for Special Surgery and the team of collaborators there who have an extraordinary interest in addressing issues of health equity in musculoskeletal diseases. I have also a commitment in mentoring and contribute to training of fellows interested in research and in the area of health disparity.
