Health Equity/Research Interest
My area of research is health disparities in hematologic malignancies and hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). HCT is a potentially life-saving therapy for patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Given the importance of this treatment, it is critical to ensure equal access to treatment for disadvantaged populations including uninsured patients and racial/ethnic minorities.
Expertise/Goals
I have a strong background in hematology, medical oncology, clinical epidemiology, and health services research. I hope to leverage my prior experience in clinical medicine and research to build new partnerships and collaborations through the Center, with the goal of generating and sharing new knowledge. I am also excited for the opportunity to participate in student education and community engagement.
