Health Equity/Research Interest
One of my areas of interest is the intersection of health and disability. This could involve specific health conditions such as Diabetes Rheumatoid Arthritis or Autism that could be reasons for disability or health related disability more generally. The policy implications of health-related disability on equity in health services is where this work aligns with the goals of the Cornell Center For Health Equity.
Expertise/Goals
I have over 20 years of work experience managing and analyzing data in areas from survey research marketing/advertising research to health services research and public health. My expertise is analysis of large databases like Medicare Medicaid and VHA data to understand health outcomes related to Diabetes Autism or Rheumatoid Arthritis. Weill Cornell Medicine has tremendous expertise in understanding health outcomes while other parts of Cornell University have expertise in other aspects of disability and one goal will be to bring these resources together to better understand health-related disability and its implications for health equity.
