Health Equity/Research Interest

My research focuses on surgical and device outcomes primarily on population level. My areas of interest include device and surgical safety evaluation women’s health and understanding the impact of provider characteristics. I have expertise in advanced methods for surgical epidemiological research. My research interest in disparities is related to those in the field of surgery and medical device. Particularly I’m interested in understanding the impact of health system provider and policy on healthcare disparities.

Expertise/Goals

My past research experience is in surgical and device outcomes research including topics of device safety provider effect and policy impact. I have expertise in advanced methods for surgical epidemiological research. My current research is extending to look at disparity questions involved in device and surgical fields. My experience and expertise will contribute to the generation of evidences that can be further used to reduce health disparity and improved healthcare for all. Through membership at the center I hope to establish collaboration with investigators from other fields to advance health equity research.
